How to factory Reset Your Smartphone and iOS

Samsung Smartphone

Samsung Galaxy S6, S7, S7 edge, J3 (all versions), and J7 (all versions)

  1. Turn OFF your phone and remove any charging cables
  2. Press and hold the Volume UP, HOME, and POWER buttons at the same time
  3. Note: The HOME button is the button at the bottom of the screen
  4. Release the 3 buttons after the phone powers on and displays the Android logo
  5. Note: If the phone displays No Command; after several seconds, the Android Recovery Menu should appear
  6. If No Command doesn't disappear: hold the POWER button, press the Volume UP button, and release both at the same time
  7. Note: If the Android logo followed by the Android Recovery Menu doesn't appear, you'll need to start the process again
  8. Press the Volume DOWN button to highlight Wipe data/factory reset
  9. Press the POWER button to select it
  10. Press the Volume DOWN button to highlight Factory data reset and press the POWER button to select it
  11. After the factory reset is complete, menu items will reappear with the Reboot system now highlighted
  12. Press the POWER button to select it

Samsung Galaxy S8, S8+, S9, S9+, S10, S10e, S10+, Note 8, Note 9, Note 10, and Note 10+

  1. Turn OFF your phone and remove any charging cables
  2. Press and hold the Volume UP, BIXBY, and POWER buttons at the same time
  3. Note: The BIXBY button is below the Volume controls
  4. Release the 3 buttons after the phone powers on and displays the Android logo
  5. Note: If the phone displays No Command; after several seconds, the Android Recovery Menu should appear
  6. If No Command doesn't disappear: hold the POWER button, press the Volume UP button, and release both at the same time
  7. Note: If the Android logo followed by the Android Recovery Menu doesn't appear, you'll need to start the process again
  8. Press the Volume DOWN button to highlight Wipe data/factory reset
  9. Press the POWER button to select it
  10. Press the Volume DOWN button to highlight Factory data reset and press the POWER button to select it
